Get Involved in the NSPCC’s Childhood Day with ParentPay
This Childhood Day, Friday 09 June 2023, the NSPCC are asking everyone to play their part in keeping children safe, by taking part in The Childhood Day Mile and raising money through ParentPay, the UK market leader in school payments.
ParentPay’s partnership with the NSPCC will allow schools to securely collect cashless donations from staff and parents during The Childhood Day Mile, a campaign that aims to motivate adults and children to move a mile for the NSPCC at school, work or home on Childhood Day.
Half a million children a year suffer abuse in the UK. That means 7 children in a classroom may experience abuse before they turn 18. But together, we can change that.
On Friday 9 June, get together with your school, workmates, friends or family and do your mile, your way. Whether you walk it, wheel it, or space hopper it – the possibilities are endless!
The donations collected through ParentPay could help the NSPCC run its Speak out Stay safe programme to help children understand what abuse is and what to do if they’re scared or worried.
ParentPay’s partnership with the NSPCC began in 2021, supporting the charity with their Number Day campaign, with the goal of collecting donations to help keep children safe. Around 90 per cent of the NSPCC’s income comes from their supporters, including schools and parents, so these campaigns are particularly important in helping to keep their vital services running.
Katie Fudge, Schools Fundraising Manager at NSPCC, commented: “We are so excited to be working with ParentPay again this Childhood Day, and for schools to take part in the Childhood Day Mile – it’s going to be such a fun day and we can’t wait to see how schools move their mile”
If you’d like to get involved, and support the NSPCC this Childhood Day, you can sign up via their website. Once you’ve registered with the NSPCC let us know if you’d like to use ParentPay to collect cashless donations and we can set this up for you.
