Get Involved in the NSPCC’s Big Breaktime with ParentPay

This Childhood Day, Friday 10 June 2022, the NSPCC are asking everyone to play their part in keeping children safe from abuse, by taking part in The Big Breaktime and raising money through ParentPay, the UK market leader in school payments.

ParentPay’s partnership with the NSPCC will allow schools to securely collect cashless donations from staff and parents during The Big Breaktime, an hour-long breaktime filled with play to help children make the most of childhood, and to remind staff of its importance.

The donations collected through ParentPay could help to fund Childline, the NSPCC’s 24/7 service for children to contact, whatever difficulty they’re facing. Or it could help support the ‘Speak out Stay safe.’ programme – giving children the knowledge and confidence to speak out about anything that’s worrying them, including abuse, so they can get help.

ParentPay’s partnership with the NSPCC began in 2021, supporting the charity with their Number Day campaign, with the goal of collecting donations to help keep children safe. Around 90 per cent of the NSPCC’s income comes from their supporters, including schools and parents, so these campaigns are particularly important in helping to keep their vital services running.

Mark Brant, ParentPay Chief Executive, said: “We’re proud to be supporting the NSPCC with collecting donations once again, and also helping to spread awareness of their goals for Childhood Day.”

Mark added: “After a challenging couple of years, it’s important for everyone to take some time out of their day to have fun during The Big Breaktime, whilst raising money to support this important cause.”

Katie Fudge, Schools Fundraising Manager at NSPCC, commented: “We are excited to be partnering with Parent for The Big Breaktime on Childhood Day, the NSPCC’s flagship day that brings everyone in the UK together to protect children.

With the support of ParentPay we are able to give schools safe, cashless payment options to help them raise funds for our vital work.

A huge thank you ParentPay for your continued support and for encouraging schools to get involved in The Big Breaktime.
